The interior of 'De Tropen' is designed by Studio Piet Boon, respecting the historical elements of the building he found the right balance between park, recreation and the Grand Cafe. A large dark green bar with impressive museum pieces in the middle of the restaurant connects the cafe with the museum, the light flows in through the large windows which offer a perfect view on the park. Piet Boon is also responsible for the renovation of the rooms of the prestigious Mariott Hotel.
