South | Zuid | Museum district

Located near Vondelpark and the Pijp district, only a few minutes away from Leidseplein, you’ll find the Southern part of Amsterdam. Also known as the Museum district and further along the Vondelpark as the Willemspark area. The district’s main shopping street is PC Hooftstraat, which is the city’s high-end shopping street and home to designer fashion stores such as Chanel, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.

In the same area you’ll also find Riviera Maison for beachy interior design, Zara Home, and Vondelpark - a beautiful city park with a few cafe’s, an open air theatre, and of course plenty of fields to lie around on during the summer.

If real antiques are what you are in to, check out the Spiegelstraat. This street, parallel to Leidsestraat and going all the way down to the Rijksmuseum, is known for its many antique stores and has lately been welcoming some fashion brands.

Read a summery of my favourite shops and locations and scroll down for more detailed info, links to blogposts, pictures and opening hours of the specific locations if available
