South | Zuid | Museum district | Old South

Located near Vondelpark and the Pijp district, only a few minutes away from Leidseplein, you’ll find the Southern part of Amsterdam. Also known as the Museum district and further along the Vondelpark as the Willemspark area. The district’s main shopping street is PC Hooftstraat, which is the city’s high-end shopping street and home to designer fashion stores such as Chanel, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.

In the same area you’ll also find Riviera Maison for beachy interior design, Zara Home, and Vondelpark - a beautiful city park with a few cafe’s, an open air theatre, and of course plenty of fields to lie around on during the summer.

Spiegelstraat
If real antiques are what you are in to, check out the Spiegelstraat. This street, parallel to Leidsestraat and going all the way down to the Rijksmuseum, is known for its many antique stores and has lately been welcoming some fashion brands. (More about the Spiegelstraat area in City Centre Dam | Spui area)

Further into the Old South you will find area's like the Schinkelbuurt, Stadionbuurt, Apollobuurt and the Zuidas (the word buurt refers to area)

Please note we are working on the site!
