Leidseplein area {Leidseplein - prinsengracht - Overtoom}
Being at Leidseplein you feel right in the middle of town It is a little square and one of the so called entertainment area's. Here you will find Music temple 'Paradiso'.. a Music venue in an old church. And 'De Melkweg'... both places where my love for music started and where I have seen many great bands performing.
In summer the square is one big terrace. In winter the little trees were beautiful illuminated and there was a simple Ice skating park. Last years it has been taken over by some kind of ugly winter wonderland. Leidsestraat is a nice street to walk through, "watch out for the trams!" It goes all the way up to Koningsplein, where the flower market starts, so if you are in for tulips this is the place to find them.
